Signature Events
Each semester, SBS hosts a "Signature Event" for their students. During the Fall Semester, students attend an on-site professional sporting event. Since last Spring, SBS has partnered with SMU's Sport Management department to host the annual Global Sports Business Summit.

Global Sports Business Summit 2025: SMU partnered with the Dallas Sports Commission to put on the first annual Global Sports Business Summit. Panel Topics included Sponsorship 2.0: The Evolution of Brand Partnerships in Sports, Streaming Wars & Sports Media: The Future of Digital Fan Engagement, and AI, Analytics, & Automation: The Tech Revolutionizing Sports Business. Speakers included Dallas Mavericks VP Ronnie Fauss, SMU Athletic Director Damon Evans, and FC Dallas President Dan Hunt.
Fall 2024
LIV Golf Dallas: SBS partnered with Bryson DeChambeau to attend the LIV Golf Tournament in Dallas, Texas. Over 50 SMU students and faculty received free entry to the tournament, getting the chance to experience one of the premier golfing events of the year.
